Here is the video tutorial:

Directions:
1.  Prepare your resin, according to the package directions.
2.  Mix in blue transparent dye and some clear iridescent glitter.
3.  Pour into mold.  Pop bubbles as needed.  Allow to cure at least 12 hours.
4.  Print out your mermaid clip art, on vellum.  and cut the circle similar to the size of the coaster cavity.  I used a laser printer.  If you are thinking of doing it with an inkjet printer, do a little research on how to prevent your image from smearing.
5.  Once the resin has cured, prepare some more and this time leave it clear.  Pour into mold and immediately insert the vellum into the resin and with your gloved fingers, press it down.  You want to remove the bubbles from underneath the paper.  Allow to cure at least 12 hours and remove bubbles as needed.
6.  You will have an edge where the vellum ends.  To cover that up, I used a mixture of glitter and Mod Podge.  Using a skewer stick I put it all along the edge of the coaster.  An alternative would be to use some glitter glue, but I didn’t have any on hand.
7.  Once the glitter and Mod Podge mixture has dried, add one more later of resin and allow to cure.

That’s it!  Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
