Graphic Shark Coaster DIY! Craft Klatch

Shark Week has been going on all week!  Here’s a very graphic shark coaster!  DIY

You will need:
Coaster mold:  http://amzn.to/2u4SrLy
Resin:  http://amzn.to/2v3zuxp
Pigment powder:  http://amzn.to/2vPsUI8
or Pigment powder:  http://amzn.to/2vPV2eo
Transparency film laser printers:  http://amzn.to/2vdqrdy
Transparency film inkjet printers:  http://amzn.to/2eTieo0
Circle cutter:  http://amzn.to/2uEyiPP
Shark image:  http://www.clker.com/search/shark/3

Here is the video tutorial:

Directions:
1.  Mix two ounces of resin and separate into two cups.  Mix pigment powders (whatever color you want) into the resin.

2.  Pour into different cavities of the coaster mold.  This will give you your base.

3.  Take a lighter and pop the bubbles and allow to sit for a minimum of 12 hours.

4.  While everything is curing, print out your shark images, onto transparency film and cut them out.  I use a circle cutter, but you can just as well use scissors.

5.  Once cured, mix two more ounces of resin.  Pour one ounce onto each of the bases and pop the bubbles.

7.  Immediately slide your transparency images into the molds and use your stir stick to press them down.  Make sure you press out all of the bubbles.

8.  Take your lighter, pop the bubbles and allow to cure a minimum of 12 hours.

That’s it!  You can now remove them from the mold and you have ultra cool, dare I say…….SHARKTASTIC……coasters!

Thanks for stopping by!  Remember:  Life’s too short not to shimmer, so grab your glue gun and your glitter!™  Stay safe!
