It’s time for a foodie coaster!  You can have a good old fashioned burger sitting on your coffee table, waiting for guests to use the pieces as coasters!

You will need:

Tan polymer clay:
Brown polymer clay:
Yellow polymer clay:
Orange polymer clay:
Green polymer clay:
Pastel chalks:
Clay blade:
Multi-surface paint:

Here is the view tutorial:

1.  Take the tan clay and condition it.  Conditioning is just kneading it and manipulating it until it warms up and is very pliable.
2.  Roll it into a ball and then flatten it into the shape of the bottom of the bun.
3.  Shape more tan clay into the top of the bun.
4.  Scrape brown pastel chalk into a cup.  Use a soft paint brush and use the chalk to give the buns a toasted look.
5.  Take the brown clay and condition it.  Shape it into a hamburger patty shape.
6.  Using black and brown chalk scraped into a cup, use a soft brush and brush the clay to give it a charred or grilled look.  Paint on grill markings.
7.  Mix the yellow and orange cheese and use a rolling pin or pasta machine, to flatten it.  Take your blade and cut it into a square.
8.  Using green clay, flatten it and create a roundish shape.  Make the edges curled to give it a lettuce look.
9.  Bake all of the pieces, according to the clay package directions.
10.  Using multi-surface paint, in a white birch and a skewer stick, paint on little sesame seeds on the top half of the bun.  Bake to cure the paint.

That’s it!  Now you have 1 burger, but 4-5 coasters!!  Whoohoo!  You can use dollar store pieces to create a little stand.  It makes a nice presentation, rather than having a burger just sitting on your coffee table.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Crafting and stay safe!
