Directions
In case you want to try it, be sure to follow the directions below!
Step 1: Paint the Mold

Brush your silicone mold with orange acrylic paint for a bold base. Acrylic won’t stick perfectly at first, but once dry, you can add extra layers for full coverage.
Step 2: Pour the Base Layer

Mix and pour Fast Cast resin (for white) or tint clear resin with white pigment. Let it cure completely before moving on.
Step 3: Add Color and Detail

Paint the cured base with black, plum, and orange for a dimensional backdrop that will help your glow in the dark resin layer stand out.
Step 4: Pour the Glow in the Dark Resin Layer

Mix clear resin with glow in the dark pigment. Pour over your painted base, place the plastic scorpion, and pop bubbles with a lighter. Ensure the scorpion is fully covered—add more resin if needed.
Step 5: Let It Enjoy the Glow

Once fully cured, turn off the lights or shine a black light to see your glow in the dark resin scorpion come to life!

Crafting Tips: For more definition, paint the back of the scorpion before embedding it in the glow in the dark resin.
You can skip the glow in the dark pigment because it does make it cloudy. Or you could do it on a lower level and then do just clear over the scorpion.

This eerie craft makes a perfect Halloween party accessory, creepy gift, or conversation piece for your coffee table. Give it a try—you’ll love the surprise factor!
