How To Make A Coaster Mold

I wanted to take this opportunity to explain how I make the mold for my coasters.

Here is the video tutorial:

You will need:

–  Parchment paper
–  Silicone egg shaper/ring
–  Hot glue
–  4 inch round cork disk – optional

Directions:

1.  Place the egg shaper on the parchment paper and place the cork circle inside – I use the cork circle, just to help keep the egg shaper in a perfect circle.
2.  Place something heavy on the egg shaper and hot glue around the outer edge of the egg shaper.
3.  Allow to cool.
4.  Either remove the cork, or leave it in to make it a part of your final project.

That’s it!  Now start making them and thinking of great things to incorporate in them.

Happy Crafting and thanks for stopping by!

  1. I'm not I understand the purpose of the hot glue if it doesn't stick to either the parchment paper or the silicone mold what's the purpose? This is a super idea I'm just not sure how to do it
