Make a sparkly crab ring with this fun resin crab craft tutorial! Perfect for beach lovers and summer vibes. Quick, easy, and totally cute!
If you’ve worked with resin before, you know the scenario: you’re pouring your final coaster, table, or whatever resin project you’re knee-deep in, and there’s still just that little bit of resin left in your mixing cup. Too little for another big project, too much to toss without feeling wasteful.
That’s exactly how this sparkly crab ring came to life! I hate wasting resin, so I like to keep small silicone molds nearby just for this reason.
This adorable crab craft is a perfect example of how something small (and glittery!) can be the shining star of your leftover stash.
If you’re dreaming of ocean waves and sandy toes, this crab craft is the perfect way to bring the beach to your fingertips—literally!
Today, we’re making a super cute crab ring that’s glittery, beach-inspired, and ridiculously easy to make.
You can use it as a crabby mood ring, putting your friends, family, and coworkers on notice to watch out!

Directions on How to Make a Crab Ring
This is a super simple and fun project. Here’s what you need:
Step 1: Mix Your Resin & Add Glitter for the Crab Ring

Follow the directions on your resin packaging and mix up a small batch, or use leftover resin from a larger project, like I did!
Mix in some red glitter for a sparkly crab effect. Fine glitter works great, or try chunky for a textured look.
Step 2: Pour into the Mold & Let It Cure

Carefully pour the resin into your crab mold. Tap the mold gently on your surface to release any bubbles. Use a lighter to pop any bubbles.
Let the resin cure completely…now I know it’s hard… but resist poking at it for the next 12 hours or whatever your resin requires.
Step 3: Unmold and Glue

Once cured, pop the crab craft out of the mold. Then, glue it onto a ring blank with strong adhesive and let it dry.
Wear Your Mood on Your Finger

I don’t know about you, but wearing a sparkly crab ring makes me smile. It’s fun, beachy and a little cheeky. It’s the perfect accessory when you want to say, “I’m crabby…but at least I’m cute about it!”
A Perfect Leftover Resin Project
This project is one of my favorites for using up leftover resin. Instead of tossing that last bit, pour it into a fun mold like this one. You’ll be surprised how quickly you can build up a whole collection of tiny glittery crabs!
