Heart Resin Charms DIY | Resin Crafts | Craft Klatch

Create Heart Resin Charms!  An easy resin Valentine’s Day craft tutorial, but these hearts aren’t just for Valentine’s Day!  They make great party favors, little girl gifts, wedding favors, etc.

Here is a quick video tutorial, so you can see exactly how I made them:

You will need:

1.  I had these little mini muffin hearts for a while and thought it was time to put them to use!  My friend Alejandra sent them to me and I liked that they have the little recessed area.

2.  I mixed some resin – one ounce will go a long way!

3.  In the first charm, I put light pink glitter and mixed it up.

4.  I slowly dripped the mixture into two of the heart molds.

5.  I used fine red glitter for the second one and mixed it up.

6.  I dripped that into another mold.

7.  In the final one, I added gold microbeads and mixed it up.

8.  I poured that into a mold.

9.  I used my lighter and popped the bubbles and let them cure for a minimum of 12 hours.

10.  Once cured, I removed them from the molds.

11.  I mixed a small amount of resin and little heart glitter.

12.  I carefully dripped it into the recessed areas.

13.  Then, I popped the bubbles with my lighter.

14.  I mixed some fine pink glitter and resin and dripped it into the recess on the gold microbeads.

15.  I used a skewer stick to help it go to the edges.

16.  I used my lighter to pop the bubbles.

17.  I mixed blue microbeads and resin to put into the center of the red one.

18.  I used my lighter to pop all the bubbles and let it all cure for a minimum of 12 hours.

19.  I pulled out my collection of eye screws…

… and drilled a small hole into the hearts.

20.  Then, I screwed in the eye screws.

That’s it!  No you can attach a chain, a ribbon or a cord, to make it a necklace.  Or, you can also attach it to a keychain.

Thanks for stopping by!  Remember:  Life’s too short not to shimmer, so grab your glue gun and your glitter!™  Stay safe!
