Step by Step: Repairing the Fish Tail
Step 1: Clean the Broken Edges
Make sure both sides of the break are fee of dirt and debris. A clean surface allows for a better bond.

Step 2: Apply the UV Resin
Apply the UV resin. I just put the pieces together and put a bead of UV resin over the break.

Step 3: Cure with UV Light
I held it together, while Greg used the UV light to harden it. It’s quick to harden and give you a good strong bond. I repeated it on the back of the break too.

A Quick Tip for Strength
If the tail broke in a spot that might get bumped again, you can reinforce it with some additional UV resin.

In the case of my fish, there is a lump where I fixed it but I plan on doing a refresher resin coat over the fish and then you won’t see the repair.

Why I Love UV Resin for Repairs
Bonding UV resin is one of my favorite secret weapons for craft repairs and more! It bonds fast, cures hard, and works perfectly. No need to wait overnight — just a minute or so and it’s done!
Have you seen how I fixed Greg’s glasses? FYI: He has since dropped his glasses on concrete garage floor. He broke and even larger chunk out and the arm of the glasses.
Guess what? Yup. I fixed it!
